I hope everyone is having a great start to Spring! Before we all get too involved with our work schedules, I just want to thank everyone who has supported the LI Chapter by attending the education and social events held recently. The Pool Opening class on March 20 featured a special presentation by Pentair on hydraulics. The students were invited to walk through the Pentair on-site trailer to view various product demonstrations. As usual, Ed Cohen, of Ultimate in Pool Care, delivered an outstanding segment on pool openings.

The LI Chapter was also proud to host yet another successful Casino Night on March 29 at the Rock Hill Country Club in Manorville. The event is held ever year to help raise money for the Chapter’s benevolent fund. The money raised is used to partially fund on going projects, selected by the LI Board, to benefit worthy causes within the chapter’s region, and quite possibly, within your neighborhood. It’s LIPSA way of giving back to the community.

Another educational program, Heat Pumps and Salt Chlorine Generators, held April 10, was offered by Aqua Comfort Technology. It was well received as the topics were timely and presentations informative. .

We look forward to continuing to offer special social events, like the upcoming July 22 Golf Outing and educational programs, such as Pool Winterization in August, to the industry and hope that you continue to support your Chapter by attending the events.
